One of the many acclaimed organizations and societies that Florida State University offers its students is the Garnet & Gold Scholar Society (GGSS), a society that accredits FSU’s undergraduate students’ experiences through 5 different Engagement Areas: International, Internship, Leadership, Research, and Service.

In order to become part of Garnet & Gold Scholar Society, students must complete 3 of the 5 Engagement Areas, write Reflections for each Engagement Area, and complete a final Synthesis Reflection.

Upon being inducted, students are awarded a medal at the induction ceremony, are recognized at commencement activities, and receive a notation on their transcript confirming their status as a Garnet & Gold Scholar Society.

For students looking for additional information about the Garnet & Gold Scholar Society, The Career Center will be hosting three information sessions throughout the spring semester in order to answer any questions and to provide additional information to prospective applicants.

The Garnet & Gold Scholar Society Information Sessions will be held the following dates:

Thursday, January 30, 2020 from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM in Dunlap 1006

Tuesday, April 7, 2020 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM in Dunlap 2201
